  • Genre: Comedy
  • Release date: 1st January 1986

Plot Synopsis

At last Caine got his Oscar as Mia Farrow's unfaithful husband in Allen's vaguely Chekhovian tale of a dysfunctional family of neurotic sisters. Allen has mined this kind of territory before but rarely better than here. The setting - of course - is Manhattan; the one-liners crackle, as does the tension between the three sisters (see, I said it was Chekhovian); and Caine, torn between his wife and her youngest sibling, gives one of his very best performances
